                              導師與研究領域、方向:

                                  1989年3月取得哈工大計算機工學博士學位。攻讀博士學位期間曾在《計算機學報》等核心期刊和國際會議發表論文多篇,并獲得設立不久、為數不多的1989年度國家自然科學基金青年科學基金。博士畢業后歷任哈爾濱理工大學大副教授,哈工大科技開發總公司軟件部部長等。

                                  1992年出國,在國外的十八年間,歷任世界500強及日美知名上市公司研究和開發部門的主任研究員、主干研究員、中國區總工、公司唯一最高級資深工程師、開發本部總經理等。主持和參與多個國外重要產品及項目的研究開發。

                                  2009年底應邀回國,被聘為北京大學深圳研究生院教授,北京大學數字視頻編解碼國家工程實驗室廣州研發中心副主任。2011年6月被聘為華南理工大學研究員(教授),2012年3月被任命為北京大學信息工程學院常務副院長(主持工作),2013年9月至2016年3月任北京大學信息工程學院院長。

                                  回國后主持和參與國家、省、市科技開發項目多項,近幾年發表國際重要期刊和會議論文數十篇、申報發明專利數十項。曾獲得部、省級科學技術獎4項。擔任多個國際期刊及國際會議的審稿人。2014年成為深圳市海外高層次人才團隊暨“圖像與視頻處理研究”孔雀團隊核心成員。
